TWO FUGITIVES CAPTURED! KABS!

BEN S. BLAUVELT

Thirty-five year old Ben Bluavelt was wanted in connection with the murder of Indiana college professor Maurice Lam back in 1991. Blauvelt was captured during a routine traffic stop in San Antonio, Texas in August 2006 when he made an improper u-turn in the car he was driving. Blauvelt produced an Indiana driver's license that had expired in 1994. Police learned that he had been working at a construction site and was being paid in cash. Blauvelt was extradited back last December 2006 and his trial is set for May15.

GARY LEE ST. JOHN

In December 2006, a patient at Lake Charles Memorial Hospital in Louisiana raised a red flag for Mark Monteilh, a social worker. With the help of Dr. Tim Miller, they were able to determine that the 67 year old man they had as a patient was Gary Lee St. John from Reno, Nevada who was wanted on 28 counts of child molestation. St. John had suffered a stroke and couldn't speak. The fugitive was one of the child predators featured on the Oprah show as well as on America's Most Wanted. Montielh and Dr. Miller met with Oprah on her show and were surprised to learn of the $100,000 dollar reward she offered. Both men each received $50,000 dollars.

SIX MONTH ANNIVERSARY HERE IN THE BIGHOUSE! KABS!

Dear Friends, Family and Listeners,
-
Today marks the six month anniversary of "The Bossman in The Bighouse!" For those who don't know the story, grab a cup of coffee before you read further.
-
When I started radio school last year in Arlington Texas www.radioschool.com , I needed a format for my radio show. Since I have a law enforcement back ground, I decided on a format along the lines of America's Most Wanted. Featuring unidentified victims, missing persons and wanted fugitives, was something that had never been done before at the school.
-
I've feature some interesting cases, learned a great deal and made some pretty good friends along the way. Never did I think that I might actually help solve a case let alone several, but law enforcement and medical examiners nation wide assure me they are seriously investigating the leads I've provided them. Even though I'm done with radio school, I feel I still have an obligation to continue the pursuit in solving some personal cases and to continue the web site.
-
Now that school has started back through the country, I'm back on the trail of attempting to solve "The Case of The Unidentified Fort Worth Teenager," and to develope leads in other cases. Plus, I will be looking for serious employment. So if any of you are looking for someone in promotions or to operate your boards, drop me a line.
-
Meanwhile, I appreciate everyone's support and look forward to announcing when law enforcement and medical examiners have credited this radio program in assisting them with solving a case.
-
By all means click on the web links below and if you have some ideas about a identifying a victim or know where a fugitive is hiding, contact your local police. And tell them, The Bossman sent you!

The Disappearance of Millionairess Mary Jacqueline Levitz. Mississippi 1995

Originally aired on March 9, 2006
-
Mary Jacqueline Levitz, widow of Ralph Levitz, co-founder of Levitz furniture, was described as a woman who never forgot where she came from because family and friends were always important to her. After the death of her husband, Mary moved back to her roots of Vicksburg, Mississippi in early 1995. Mary had many friends and no known enemies, but on November 20, 1995 police made a gruesome discovery. Upon arrival, police found the front door unlocked. Inside, fingernail tips were scattered on the floor. Further investigation revealed that Mary's bedroom mattress was covered in blood matching her blood type. Despite the assistance of the F.B.I. and a $200,000 dollar reward, police could not locate Levitz. Was it a kidnapping gone wrong or murder. Click on the web links below, read the case files and if you know where Mary Jacqueline Levitz, contact the authorities.

The Case of The Turquoise Unicorn or The Mystery of Robert E. Lee High School. Texas 1990.

Originally aired on May 1, 2006
-
On September 10, 1990, the skeletal remains of a white or hispanic female were located in Harris County, Texas. It is estimated that she died from six months up to one year before she was discovered. She is described between 4 feet 10 inches to 5 feet 2 inches in height and is between 16 to 22 years old. A surgical scar indicates she may have had a tumor on her knee at one time. Her jewelry consisted of a silver ring with a turquoise unicorn and a 1975 class ring from Robert E. Lee High School, out of Houston, Texas. Why does a 16 to 22 year old female found in 1990 have a 1975 class ring? I don’t know, but I bet you do. Click on the web link below, read the case file and if you have any information that can solve The Case of the Turquoise Unicorn, also known as The Mystery of Robert E. Lee High School, contact your local police.

The Springtown Mystery of John Doe. Texas 1985

Originally aired on March 13, 2006
-

On October 27, 1985, Parker County police responded to a call off of Hwy 51 near Springtown, Texas. Upon arrival, police discovered the skeletal remains of a white or biracial male, with brown hair whose age range was between 15 to 20. Authorities are certain that he had been at the location for more than a year before he was found. Despite massive publicity in August of last year, not one lead was developed, leading authorities to believe he has not from the Dallas/Fort Worth Area. Click on the web link below, see the facial reconstruction, read the case file and if you can help solve "The Springtown Mystery of John Doe," contact your local police department.

WANTED CHILD PREDATORS! $100,000 reward. Fugitive Friday. August 4, 2006

Originally aired on May 26, 2006
-
On October 4, 2005, Oprah announced she was working with law enforcement to help bring several child predators to justice. She also pledged a $100,000 dollar reward for information leading to their capture. To date, four of those featured on her program have been captured thanks to her viewers. We're going to feature the remaining child molestors on Oprah's child predator watch list and if you know where they are, you could be entitled to a $100,000 dollar reward. Remember The Bighouse rules: Never try to apprehend a wanted fugitive on your own. Always leave the capture of any criminal to the police. The Bossman and KABS are in no way responsible for any rewards offered by law enforcement or The Oprah Show. We're simply doing our part, by providing a public service and bringing to your attention what you need to know to protect your children. Getting a child predator off the street, is a good way to do that. Click on the web links below, read their case files and if you know where they are, contact your local police.
