The Mystery of Sumter County. South Carolina 1976.

On August 9, 1976 a trucker found the remains of this unidentified couple on a dirt road between Interstate 95 and S C 341. He is described as a white male, between the ages of 18 to 24 years old, standing at 6 feet and 1/4 inches tall, with brown hair and brown eyes. She is described as a white female, between the ages of 18 to 20 years old, standing at 5 feet 5 inches tall with brown hair and hazel eyes. An autopsy revealed they had been shot numerous times in the chest, back and throat. Along with some very distictive jewelry, a book of matches was found inside the man's pockets. The matches were from Grants Truck Stop. Investigation revealed they could have only come from Idaho, New Mexico or Nebraska.
