The Winder Mystery of Barrow County. Georgia. 1999

On December 9, 1999 a man gathering pecans found the skeletal remains of a white male between the ages of 55 to 60 standing about 5 feet 6 inches in height with brown hair, near the train tracks south of Winder in Barrow County, Georgia. Authorities found about 90 percent of the man's skeleton, but little else. It is believed the man's body was in the woods for six to eight months. Foul play is not suspected.
