"The Orange Socks Affair." Texas 1979.

On October 31, 1979 Georgetown, Texas police were called to a culvert on I-35 about 9.4 miles from the Williams/Bell county line. Upon arrival the authorities found the remains of an unidentified white female. She is described as being twenty to twenty-seven years old, between 5 feet 8 to 5 feet 10 inches tall with 10 inch long-brown hair with a reddish tint. The only clothing she wore was a pair of orange socks. An autopsy revealed the victim had died as a result of strangulation. Two match book covers were found at the scene; one was from a Motel 6, the other from a Holiday Inn in Henryetta, Oklahoma.
